Vehicle Detail

This 1939 Ford Two-Door Sedan features an all-steel frame, 350 engine and Turbo 400 transmission. It also features a Camaro front clip and a 9” Ford rear end. The 1939 Ford was a further refinement of the full-size model Ford introduced in 1937, with the standard trim featuring a higher grille with horizontal dividers. Bulb and reflector lamps were utilized for the last time (Ford switched to sealed beam headlamps in 1940) and were moved to a position almost in front of the wheels. Hydraulic brakes were also introduced by Ford across all models in 1939. The 1939 Ford was also available in a De Luxe trim, and body styles included two-door pickup trucks, station wagon and vans, along with four-door sedans and station wagons.
